Loyola retreat house in Green, Ohio Poustinia Retreats encourage retreatants to grow in their relationship with the Lord through: Praying with Scripture (Lectio Divina) Praying with an Icon Silence and Solitude Fasting Journaling Our Poustinia Retreat will be 24 hours of silence and solitude.  We begin with mass on Friday evening.  Then we will each go to our individual rooms with only bread, water, a bible, a prayer journal, an icon, and any necessary clothes and toiletries.  No phones, electronics or watches.  We only leave our rooms to use the bathroom.  Father will bring us all back to the chapel for Mass on Saturday.  Afterward, we will enjoy a meal together and share about the retreat.  We will sleep at the retreat center again on Saturday night and leave Sunday after morning prayer and breakfast. We have an optional formation meeting from 7 to 8:30 pm on Thursday, February 19th. At this meeting, we will have an opportunity to meet each other and have any questions about the retreat answered. “And Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.’” (LK 1:38) A mother-daughter retreat designed specifically for adult and teen women in the spirit of Mary's fiat. Spend the day strengthening the relationships with the special women in your life through focused reflections and inspiring conversation on the feminine mind, body and spirit. This year’s theme is “Behold Friendship.” Lunch, snacks and drinks provided. The retreat will close with the Sunday vigil Mass at 4pm celebrated by Fr. Damian Ference. Mass is open to the public. All teens must be accompanied by an adult.
